Since 1974, A1 Organics has focused on services related to organic residual reduction and organic recycling services. We provide services related to organic recycling on either a one-time or continuing basis, which includes:

COMPOSTING

Yard waste and other organic waste can consume anywhere from 40% to 60% of the available landfill space, especially in the summertime when landscapers are more active. With landfill space diminishing and new landfills becoming harder and harder to permit, alternatives become much more important. Composting is one such alternative that works to keep organic waste out of landfills and transform it into landscape supply materials that can be utilized in a variety of industries.

CUSTOM COMPOSTING AND CUSTOM BLENDS

A1 Organics also provides custom composting operations for a host of governmental agencies and corporate clients.

Different composts have different attributes. While all composts are beneficial to plant growth, not all composts have the same characteristics. We recognized the need for a standard classification system to set the right criteria for different qualities and types of compost, so we created one! It gives landscapers and suppliers a common language to discuss their unique landscape supply needs and the best products for each project.

Given the variety of different raw organic materials, A1 Organics can create custom blends of multi-purpose compost to meet your unique needs. We work with nurseries, landscape architects, landscapers, and more to come up with a blend of compost that meets their specific needs.

Our other landscape supply products include premium mulches and organic soils.

GRINDING AND CUSTOM SERVICES

A1 Organics offers commercial grinding and waste reduction services to its clients. We are the proud owners of a Morbark 1300 series tub grinder, which is mobile and can be taken to individual client sites across Colorado’s Front Range.

This grinder has a 1000-horsepower Caterpillar engine, self-contained grapple loader, and a 13-foot diameter tub. Depending on the size of material being ground, the Morbark can grind anywhere from 400 to 1200 cubic yards per hour or more. Grinding normally results in volume reductions of 40% to 80%. Volumes of raw organic materials can be ground quickly, making the operations very cost-competitive. The reduction of volume translates into reduced transportation costs. Finally, the ground material can either be used as mulch or it can be composted.
