A1 Organics in Commerce City

A1 Organics offers multiple locations across the Front Range to make it easier for you to access superior soils, compost, and mulch, as well as participate in organics (green waste) recycling. In Commerce City, we’re conveniently located at 9109 Monaco St. (west of the road). We accept a number of common organic recycling items such as tree limbs, log, leaves, and grass, but if you’re unsure about the full range of materials we accept, please contact us to get the information you need.

What We Accept

Materials that are acceptable for drop-off at our A1 Commerce City organics recycling facility include:

• Branches and Limbs
• Chipped Wood and Saw Dust
• Logs (maximum 6 feet)(Rule of 8)(4'x2'=8' or 3'x2'=6' <8')
• Sod and Soils (not mixed)
• Leaves and Brush
• Sorted KD (kiln dried) Wood
• Lawn Grass (not mixed with limb or log)
• Clean Lumber (NO PAINTED, STAINED, OR TREATED WOOD)

We cannot unload trucks or vehicles, and we do not accept trash (including glass, paper, plastics, cans, concrete, tires, railroad ties or edging).

Loads should NOT be COMMINGLED. Please follow these acceptable mixes:

• Cut grass & loose leaf - Acceptable
• Brush, Limb, Branch -Acceptable
• Sod & Soil should be separated, if mixed will be Rejected
